Here's a sampling of local, Black-owned restaurants to enjoy this February and throughout the year.
As Black History Month approaches, we are diving into some of the delicious dishes being served up at Black-owned restaurants and establishments in The Palm Beaches.
Ganache Bakery
Ganache Bakery brings Caribbean flair to the West Palm Beach scene with key lime tarts, rum cakes, eye-catching custom cakes and more. Pair your dessert with fresh coconut water straight from the source. Jamal Lake captured the area’s attention with his appearance on Food Network’s “Halloween Baking Championship” and charismatic smile at the West Palm Beach GreenMarket. A Virgin Islands native, Lake opened Ganache in 2011 with his partner Joan Lewis. Between their tasty treats and engaging personalities, Ganache is a highlight of West Palm Beach Food Tours. Blue Mountain Coffee House
This popular coffeehouse in downtown West Palm Beach opened its doors in 2020 and exclusively serves internationally renowned Blue Mountain Coffee from Jamaica. Breakfast and lunch items are available daily alongside some sweet treats and fresh juices. Owner Allison Boettcher is originally from St. Andrew Parish, a Jamaican town that’s home to a stretch of the Blue Mountain range. Boettcher brings a passion for her homeland’s food to this unique cafe.

Majestic Ash Lounge & Southern Spice
Majestic Ash Lounge & Southern Spice is a sophisticated restaurant located in West Palm Beach. The restaurant offers a large variety of comfort food, including shrimp and grits, coconut shrimps, chicken and waffles, crab cakes, and ribs. The Purple Shrimp

Troy's Barbeque
Troy’s Barbeque has locations in Boynton Beach and West Palm Beach. Started by pit-boss Troy Davis, this award-winning barbecue staple has been serving the county for more than 25 years. FIWE, also in downtown West Palm Beach, brings the taste of Caribbean Islands to The Palm Beaches community and beyond.
