Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 2.

The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the new hire of team member, Kathleen Dempsey, Director of Community Engagement.

Kathleen Dempsey is a graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Recreation and Leisure Services Administration. Over the past 10 years, Kathleen worked as the Treasure Coast Community Outreach Specialist for The Corradino Group where she represented the Florida Department of Transportation on construction projects in the Treasure Coast, proactively providing vital information to key stakeholders and fostering relationships with special-interest groups, homeowners’ associations, and county & municipality staff.

Currently, Dempsey serves on the Board for the Junior League of Martin County as the Executive Vice President, overseeing the League’s operations and welfare. This is an organization she is passionate about and has been engaged in over the past decade because of the significant, positive impacts it has on the children in her local community. Her passion for change & impact has also brought about an interest in local politics, leading her to recently completing the Florida Institute for Political Leadership’s Campaign School & Community Leadership Training – a non-partisan program organized & managed by the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

As Director of Community Engagement, Kathleen will be working closely with our municipal partners and the various committees & task forces. This includes the Government Affairs Committee where she will be developing the Chamber’s legislative agenda, and the Disaster Resiliency and Recovery Task Force where she will be working with the municipalities and key stakeholders to support disaster recovery and resiliency in the region.

“Kathleen’s background in public policy and her relationships at the local, regional and state level will provide a solid foundation for her work and continue to elevate the efforts of the Chamber,” said Noel Martinez, President and CEO for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce.
